Economic policy and labour market
One of the tasks of EDI within the Slovakia´s economic policy is co-participation in improving the quality of life in the region, the growth of living standards and employment, the elimination of regional disparities and solving problems related to the issue.
The level of employment in the economy is determined by the mutual interaction of supply and demand in the labor market. The labor market in the Slovak Republic has long been in a state of imbalance and unemployment is one of the most serious problems of society. Is a social indicator associated with such social phenomena as crime, mental and physical health, simultaneously affects a family life adversely and reflects a loss of social status associated with adverse accompanying phenomena. The significant interregional differences still persist. Therefore, the support of employment in the region and increasing employment opportunities for citizens by promoting educational growth are one of our long-term priorities.
